A small-town boy arrives at Tate College with a copied cheer and a tailor-made suit, sure that popularity is a role; Jobyna Ralston sees through it. He lands as water boy and waits for the big game. Lloyd's largest silent gross. The football crowd was shot at the Rose Bowl and at Pasadena, the dorm gags on the lot. AFI notes the film as the one in which Lloyd's eager young man is most completely a social climber who has learned the wrong lessons from the movies.
