Directed by Herbert Brenon
Herbert Brenon, Famous Players-Lasky, 1924. J.M. Barrie sold the rights and approved Betty Bronson as Peter after a search the trades covered. Ernest Torrence is Hook; Mary Brian is Wendy. Anna May Wong is Tiger Lily, a role written in the period’s Indian-princess grammar. Wires for the flying are visible and Barrie wanted the theatre left in. Paramount treated it as a Christmas picture. The crocodile is a property. Bronson’s boy is closer to the play than to later movies that sanded the story down.
