William S. Hart as Ice Harding, 1917, his first Artcraft picture after leaving Triangle, directed by Lambert Hillyer. Ice tames a wild pinto, The King (Hart's horse Fritz), holds up a stage, and meets Betty Werdin, niece of San Francisco vice lord Admiral Bates. He poses as a rancher in Saddle City; Bates tries to fleece him. Famous Players-Lasky paid for location work in San Francisco. Exhibitor's Trade Review ran the plot in January 1918.
