Emak-Bakia

1926 · 18 min · FR

Directed by Man Ray

Man Ray, 1926, a cinépoème of about sixteen minutes. The Basque title means leave me alone: spinning objects, Kiki de Montparnasse, rayographs, a pair of legs, type and light. He shot it in Paris and at a villa on the coast. Cinémathèque française holds a reference print. No story that will summarize, which is the point he put on the title card.
