Roy Rogers cannot make the payment on his ranch, a New York syndicate that knows what is under the land wants it foreclosed, and he goes east with Gabby Hayes and Raymond Hatton to raise the money, which puts three cowboys in a Manhattan office, a boxing ring and a horse race. An early Rogers, before the studio settled on the formula, with more plot than songs and Hayes doing what Hayes did. For the sight of the Republic West against a Wall Street backdrop, and for Rogers still learning to carry a picture. Joseph Kane, 1939, sixty-six minutes.
