John Wayne sings before he shoots, the voice dubbed, as Singin' Sandy Saunders, a government agent sent against a man who controls the water and is squeezing the ranchers. Sandy blows the dam. The first of his sixteen Lone Star Westerns, the series that taught him the trade over three years, and this is the first lesson, singing included. Robert N. Bradbury directs, Yakima Canutt does the stunts and plays a heavy, and Cecilia Parker is the girl. Monogram, 1933, fifty-three minutes.
