Directed by Dave Fleischer
Ko-Ko and his dog Fitz wander into the control room of the Earth and find the levers, rain, sun, night, and one marked with a warning that pulling it will end the world. Fitz pulls it. The Fleischers' animation runs off the page into their live-action footage of New York, buildings sway, streets tilt, and the end of the world arrives as slapstick, with strobing flashes near the end that are in the original. Made near the close of the Out of the Inkwell series, when mixing drawn and photographed worlds was the studio's signature. Inkwell Studios for Paramount, 1928.
