Directed by Cecil B. DeMille
A well-born woman married to a thief takes a seamstress job and is hired to play a society girl for a weekend so that a deal will close, and the dinner party is where the two lives meet. A Cinderella story with the pumpkin already rotten. DeMille shot it at night while making another film by day, with Cleo Ridgely and Wallace Reid, and remade it in 1921 as Forbidden Fruit. Lasky, 1915, seventy-four minutes.
