Hitchcock, BIP, 1928. A spoiled girl (Betty Balfour) is cut off by her father and sent to learn what money is. She ends up waiting tables in a Paris club her father has arranged. Hitchcock later ranked it among the jobs he did not like. One image stays: action seen through the bottom of a champagne glass, the frame going fisheye. Walter Mycroft supplied the story. The plot is thin. The lens is not.
