Directed by George B. Seitz
A tug of war between two locomotives, a landslide, and a run to Chicago with an injured man aboard, with the engines and crews real and working on the Milwaukee Road in Montana. The plot around them is standard: Dan Thorn, a division superintendent, ugly and honest, gives a drifter a job and does not notice that the drifter and his own fiancée are falling in love. Louis Wolheim is Dan, and died a few months later; Jean Arthur and Robert Armstrong. Released in a widescreen version few theatres could show. RKO, 1931.
