1920 · US
Directed by D. W. Griffith
A father kills his wife's lover and hides on a Pacific island with his daughter, a detective follows, and a young man falls for the girl. Carol Dempster dives, which is the reason for the film: Griffith is trying to make her a star, and the ocean helps more than the script. The Bahamas stand in for the South Seas again, with real water and a hurricane that hit the company. With Richard Barthelmess, 1920.
