Directed by Nell Shipman, Bert Van Tuyle
Nell Shipman, 1920: a woman writer is kidnapped in the desert and the rescue vehicle is a Maxwell roadster, not a horse. Shipman produced, co-directed with Bert Van Tuyle, wrote, and starred; Joseph Walker shot the rocks and the car. It is a western that believes in machinery, and a star who did her own stunts in country that could kill you. Shot in the Mojave for Nell Shipman Productions, before she went further north.
