Directed by Maurice Tourneur
A rich man wants a farm and the niece who lives on it, a stray jockey turns up, and the race at the fair pays the mortgage. The horse is called Cold Molasses and earns the name. Tourneur photographs the countryside like a Barbizon painting and the race like a newsreel, with Helen Jerome Eddy and David Butler. From the old Charles Barnard play, 1920.
