Bill Robinson, Bojangles, makes his film debut dancing up and down a staircase, five years before he did it with Shirley Temple, and the Mardi Gras finale is in two-strip Technicolor. The rest is a costume operetta of its period: Bebe Daniels as a circus singer in antebellum New Orleans who loves a planter's son, Everett Marshall from the Metropolitan Opera, and is thrown out by his stepmother, with Wheeler and Woolsey as the circus comics. The follow-up to Rio Rita, and it lost money. RKO, 1930.
