Fazil

Prince Fazil meets Fabienne in Venice, marries her in Paris, and takes her to Arabia, where the marriage means something different. She rebels, a French party comes for her, and the film ends with both of them dead by choice rather than apart. Howard Hawks, three years into his career, later dismissed it, but the plainness of the staging and the speed of the exchanges between the couple are already his.
